An 1870's era bowl and pitcher set in the famous Tea Leaf pattern is signed "Ironstone Davenport" and includes a toothbrush holder and soap dish.
Hand decorated in England, this antique set is in beautiful condition. There is some wear, crazing and a hairline to the glaze inside the basin. We also see two chips, one on the pitcher handle and one on the bottom of the saucer, see photos. There are drain holes in the bottom of the toothbrush holder plus an underplate for drips.
The coppery iridescent hand painting is in wonderful condition, leaves have a plummy color. There is a little rubbing at the top of the pitcher handle.
The bowl is 15" diameter, the pitcher 12" tall, the toothbrush is 5" tall and the soap dish is 4" tall to the top of the charming little finial handle.
This piece can be shipped USPS with insurance for $50.00 in the US.
