Victorian 1885 Antique Walnut & Burl Antique S Curve Roll Top Desk, 55" Wide
Made about 1885, this Victorian period solid walnut roll top desk has panels all around. The deep restored finish is in excellent condition, enhancing boldly figured burl and warm rich patina on this superior quality American made antique office or library furniture.
Lower drawers have original carved pulls and dovetailed joints. There are two file drawers and two pull out work shelves with new leather inserts.
The "S" shaped roll glides smoothly and has a working lock. Inside are cubicles, file cubicles, burl front drawers and a new saddle leather writing surface.
Size is 55" wide, 34" deep and 51" tall. The writing surface is 31" tall and the kneehole is 22" wide by 26" tall.
