Carved of solid walnut about 1870, this octagonal Victorian sewing stand or needlework table is beautiful. Each side of the top is a single plank of walnut, and lifts up revealing a compartment for needlework supplies.
Holes from wooden pegs for spools of thread are visible. The substantial pedestal is graceful on this charming American antique furniture. The golden brown finish is excellent, and size is 23 1/2" across and 27" tall.
