A charming Victorian clock has a brass over cast iron case with embossed grapevines, cherubs and an angel. The brass clock movement is signed by famous maker, "Waterbury of Connecticut," and the dial is engraved "Pat. May 10, (18)59." The movement may not be original to the case.
On the iron case is a signature, "N. Muller, NY." Brass rims on the pendulum window and the dial door are original. The movement has been oiled and keeps excellent time, striking the hour and half.
Probably intended for a mantel, this nostalgic American antique clock dates from the Civil War era, and measures 13" wide, 16" tall and 4" deep.
