Primitive Country Antique Jelly Cupboard

Hand-made by a skilled country carpenter in the 1880's, this country jelly cupboard has wonderful rustic charm. Elm and ash hardwood has beautiful fine grain.

The finish is very good with wonderful antique patina and lots of character - mars and stains. Rugged interior shelves were strong enough to store jams and jellies from the fall harvest to last the whole year. Naturally, there was a lock to keep hungry children out of the stash. The back panel has been replaced.

Measurements of this picturesque American furniture are 42" wide, 16" deep and 57" tall.
