Crafted of quarter-sawn oak during the Arts and Crafts period in the early 1900's, this map chest still has maps and customer pins inside. This cabinet would work perfectly for coin, currency or drawing collections.
Twenty four drawers have original pulls and label holders. The upper section of 12 shallow trays have maps on both sides, the 12 lower drawers are over 1/2" deep. All hold maps up to about 19" x 26."
The finish is excellent on this antique stacking file, formerly used by a Wisconsin woolen mill to track customers around the country. Overall dimensions are 29" wide, 21" deep and 33" tall.
