- Carved quarter sawn oak with raised panel sides
- Top surface has been refinished for durability. The rest of the old varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish.
- Minor mars, stains, & shrinkage separations from age - see photos

- Drawers have dovetail joints
- Roll top has a working lock & key
- Writing surface, back center panel, & rotary file have been rebuilt
