Bronze 1870 Antique Fireplace Screen, Crochet Cat Needlework

A cast bronze fireplace screen from about 1870 has nice old patina. The swivel interior frame has a later hand crocheted panel depicting a cat, stitched to the pierced frame.

This American made antique is from the Victorian period, and was set on a hearth in summers when the fireplace was not lit.
Measurements are 24" wide, 13" deep and 40" tall.
