Carved Walnut Antique 1880 Bookcase, Original Wavy Glass

A classic tall bookcase was carved of walnut about 1880 and has original wavy glass in the doors.

The original finish has warm antique patina and is in very fine condition with a few mars at the edges, see photos, only the top of the base has been revarnished. Shelves are adjustable on wooden supports.

Brass hardware on the drawer is original. Keys are replaced, the bottom lock is functional, the top lock is missing.

Beautifully proportioned, the hand carved details of this furniture from Austria are understated. Meausurments are 48" wide, 20" deep, 87" tall, and the surface is 34 1/2" from the floor.
