Chinese Hand Painted Lacquer 1900 Antique Carved Altar or Sofa Table, Console
A traditional Chinese "altar" table was hand carved with a hand painted lacquer finish about 1900. Originally used for ancestral mementos and burning incense, this table makes a functional sofa or foyer table as well.
Hand hewn with mortise joints and carved wooden pegs, this rugged Asian furniture has loads of mars and dings for antique character. The original finish has been preserved with a clear varnish finish that is in excellent condition.
Measurements are 91" wide, 16" deep, 38" tall and the top is 35" high.
