A charming bed warmer from the later 1800's is solid copper with brass mounts. Filled with a few warm coals from a fireplace, this nostalgic antique would have been slid around in a bed to warm the bedding. There are a few dings for character, see photos.
The hardwood handle has a nicely worn ebony finish and is securely attached. Measurements are 11 1/2" diameter, 4" deep and 40" long.
