Dutch Hand Painted Folk Art Vintage Grandfather Clock, Hermle Movement
A grandfather or tall case clock was hand painted in traditional folk art style in Holland about 60 years ago. Because of the short size this was often called a "grandmother" clock.
The artistry is richly detailed on this vintage furniture, there are minor touchups and a tiny flake in the glass on the right side, see photos.
The brass 8 day movement keeps excellent time and rings the half hour and counts the hour.
It is signed by famous maker, FHS for Franz Hermle of Gosheim, Germany.
Size of this picturesque clock is 17" wide, 9" deep and 76 1/2" tall.
