Emeralite Emerald Green 1916 Brass Banker Desk or Piano Lamp

Signed by famous maker, "Emeralite, Pat. Aug. 15, 1916," this marvelous desk or piano lamp has an original emerald green glass shade remarkable condition with only a few tiny flakes at the edges, see photos.

To reflect light down onto paperwork, the interior of the blown shade was cased with a layer of opaline white glass, the bottom edge was then ground and polished. The shade and the glass diffuser underneath are signed, "Czechoslovakia."

A hammered and embossed bronze weighted base has a double adjustable angle and just enough wear for antique patina. The brass standard base socket with pull chain switch has been rewired for safety with silk cord.

The shade is 9" across, base is 7" square and height of this nostalgic antique desk or piano light is 13" overall.
