A magnificent Gentleman's dressing stand was exquisitely crafted during the American Empire period about 1825. Said to be from New York, the hand cut joinery and lion paw feet show great expertise.
Bronze mounts are original, the original glass has just enough antique "smoke" to be charming. The original finish is remarkably well preserved with some crazing and wear as expected, see photos.
Finished on all sides, this historic furniture has an original black marble top from the famous "Nero Portoro" quarry in Italy.
Beautiful in a dressing area, bath or foyer, size is 42" wide, 24" deep and 6' 9" tall. The surface area is 36" tall.
