Hand crafted in England around 1840, this Georgian design secretary desk is mahogany with two pairs of tambour roll sliding doors.
The finish is in excellent condition, enhancing delicate inlaid banding. Drawers of all sizes have hand cut dovetail joints on this understated antique furniture. The desk top flips open onto pull out supports, with a writing surface of saddle leather. Old brasses have embossed eagles.
The upper section is removable, and dimensions are 46" wide, 21" deep, 5 1 1/2" tall and the writing surface is 32" high.
