French Antique Carved Walnut 4 Door Library Bookcase, Secret Compartment #31358

This splendid four door bookcase was hand carved of solid walnut in France about 1900, and has a secret compartment under the top. Raised panels, columns and fine detailing are authentic on this antique library furniture. Individual glass panes are beveled, doors have working double throw locks.

The original finish is very well preserved, and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Three separate banks of shelves adjust on wooden supports. This cabinet disassembles if needed for delivery.

Measurements are 80" wide tip to tip, 20" deep and 76" tall.
