Georgian Chippendale Secretary Desk & Bookcase
This traditional Georgian Chippendale mahogany secretary has carved ball and claw feet, and the bookcase top has convex "bubble" glass paned doors. The writing surface rests on supports that extend automatically. Inside are "secret" compartments and tiny cubicles.
The gracefully curved front and classic pediment top are beautiful. Bookshelves are adjustable, locks are working.
The lustrous deep reddish finish is excellent, there are small mars and ink stains inside, see photos.
Vintage American furniture from about 20 years ago, measurements are 36" wide, 18" deep, 6' 11" tall, the desk surface is 29" high.
