Japanese 1920's Antique Dragon Carved Secretary Desk and Chair Set
A traditionally deeply hand carved Japanese secretary desk and chair set from the 1920's has a dragon motif.
The old worn black lacquer finish is preserved with satiny varnish. Reglued to serve another generation, this antique Asian hardwood furniture is strong and durable. There is a warp or twist from age on the back of the chair, see photos. Small drawers and cubicles are for documents and treasures.
The desk measures 40" wide, 27" deep and 52" tall, there is 23" of knee room. The chair is 19" wide, 18" deep 40" tall and has a seat of 17 1/2" high.
