Designed by Viscount David Linley, a nephew of Queen Elizabeth, this exquisite jewel chest was created for the famous Alfred Dunhill shop of London about ten years ago.
Never used, the original presentation case is included. The walnut box is inlaid with marquetry in elm, yew and burl, there are irregularities around the castle motif, see photos. Gold plated mounts include a lock and key. Inside are three lift out padded velvet jewelry trays, which are removable, and the mahogany lined case can be used as a humidor.
Signatures "Linley" and "Dunhill" are engraved inside. Superior workmanship and hand rubbed finishing are luxurious on this box from England by the famed royal designer.
Measurements of this limited edition treasure are 9 1/2" wide, 9" deep and 6 1/2" tall.
