Johann Pollak Bronze Bust of Neapolitan Boy

A lovely naturalistic bronze sculpture of a pensive Neapolitan boy is signed "Pollak, Munchen" (Munich, Germany). A detailed and sensitive artwork from the late 1800's, the deep chocolate brown patina on this antique bust is in very good condition.

Noted German sculptor, Johann Pollak, was born in the Bavarian town of Rain northwest of Munich in 1843, and died in Munich in 1917. Height of this picturesque and thoughtful work of art is 14."
