Limoges Betourne Copper Plate Framed Enamel Painting
Signed Jean "Betourne, Limoges," this original enamel painting on a copper plate from about 1900 has its original frame.
In pristine condition with only tiny flakes at the corners, the polished lacquer frame has an embossed brass liner. The original back bears signature labels as well.
A peaceful winter countryside scene was hand painted on a convex copper plate.
This work of art from France measures about 3 1/2" x 5" and overall size is 10" x 11" x 2" deep.
