This Georgian Chippendale design secretary desk and bookcase from the 1930's has refined lines and exceptional workmanship.
Signed "Ebert of Red Lion, PA," the top has a well proportioned pediment and flame shaped finial. Feet are classic carved ball and claw design, drawer fronts have serpentine curves. Supports automatically extend under the drop front when opened, inside are "secret" drawers and cubicles.
The gleaming finish on mahogany is impeccable. Lower drawers are dovetailed. The upper bookcase section has adjustable shelves on this classic American vintage furniture. Size is 39" wide, 19" deep, 6' 11" tall and the writing surface is 30" high.
