Marquetry Swedish Cylinder Rolltop Desk

This exquisite Swedish marquetry desk with a cylinder or barrel roll top has diagonally matched mahogany inset with satinwood and rosewood banding surrounding finely detailed designs.

The top rolls up smoothly, revealing tiny drawers and cubicles inside. Brass pulls and mounts are original from about 35 years ago.

There are only minor mars or wear - see photos, the original polished finish is excellent with fading on the front half of the pull-out writing surface.

Measurements of this serene vintage furniture are 36" wide, 20" deep and 40" tall, the writing surface is 28 1/2" high.
