An early version of the recliner this "Royal Pushbutton" Morris chair from the Arts and Crafts period was patented in 1900. This antique chair has clean and simple lines. The solid quarter sawn oak is beautiful, and the finish is in excellent condition.
The reclining back mechanism is operated by a pushbutton in the arm. Both cushions are newly upholstered with zippered covers, and this is a very comfortable chair.
An engraved brass plate on the back is photographed. Size is 33" wide, 34" deep, 37" tall, and the seat is 19" high.
