Signed by famous maker, "National Cash Register of Dayton, Ohio," this small size of cash register was used in barber shops and candy stores.
The cast embossed bronze panels are beautiful, the base is oak. Model 313, the serial number is 115164, which was made in 1896. The numbers are worn on the buttons, which only go up to $1.95.
Under the lid is a key that can reset the running total and clear the machine, it appears to work. There is an original gold "National" on the customer side of the oak base of this nostalgic American made antique. The cash register was invented in 1879, and National was the first and best maker.
Size is 10" wide, 16" deep and 17 1/2" tall and weighs 75 lbs.
