This superior quality solid quarter sawn oak four drawer file cabinet is signed on a brass plate, "Library Bureau Sole Makers."
This exceptional furniture was made for the Andrew Carnegie Foundation to give to local libraries across the country about 1910.
The deep finish is in excellent condition all around the paneled sides and back, and heavy weight brass hardware is original.
Smooth gliding drawers have been fitted with standard hanging file rods.
Size is 17 1/2" wide, 27" deep and 51 1/2" tall.
