Hand carved in England about 1895, this oval dining table is in the Georgian Chippendale manner. Claw and ball feet plus carved edges are distinguished.
The gleaming finish is in excellent condition on solid mahogany. There is an original 18" wide leaf with skirts. A hand crank opens and closes this table tightly, characteristic of better British dining tables of the era.
Measurements of this historic antique furniture are 42" wide, 30" tall, legroom is 25" high, closed length is 53" and with the leaf in place, length is almost 6' total.

Completely reglued for another generation of use the frames are strong and tight, seats are newly upholstered.
