Silver Plate Antique Meat Dome & Tray

Very heavyweight antique silver plate from about 1900, an oval meat or turkey dome has an eagle finial handle plus a carving tray with a tree form inset for collecting juices.

There is a beautiful hand engraved family heraldic crest with a Latin motto than can now be your family's if you choose, plus a regal lion on the tray.

Marked "Silverplate on Copper, Made in England," the rope borders and handles are deeply embossed. This elegant and dramatic serving ware is equally stunning on a buffet or in the arms of a burly butler, if you have one.

There are minor scratches, also a few dings and the dome does not fit exactly into the groove on the tray, see photos.

Measurements of this lavish silver tableware are 27" long, 17" wide and 16" tall.
