Vernis Martin Curved Glass Vitrine or Curio Cabinet

This outstanding curved glass curio display cabinet or "vitrine" is all original, and hand-painted with the famous "Vernis Martin" frosty golden finish. The burnished cast bronze mounts are exquisite, the artistic paintings of cherubs and courting scenes is subtle.

Original wavy glass is curved in the door and sides. There are only tiny mars and touchups to the finish and mounts, which have beautiful historic patina. The mirror, glass shelves and fabric on the lower wooden shelf are later replacements, lock is original.

Masterfully hand crafted in France in the early 1900's, this antique furniture is as beautiful as they come. Size of this elegant and serene display cabinet is 34" wide, 16" deep and 5' 9" tall.
