Made about 1880, this solid ash and oak ice box has "press" carving and fluted panels, signed "Gurney of Fond du Lac, Wis."
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving just enough mars and dings for a little antique character. One corner is cut off, see photos.
Hardware is original except for one hinge which is the same age, but slightly different as shown. The interior is original galvanized tin on this American made antique pantry furniture, from the age of an ice man making deliveries of blocks of ice.
Size is 33" wide, 22" deep and 43" tall.
