This traditional Dutch book press with a giant wooden screw is in working condition, making it useful for restoring and preserving antique books.
- 1800s antique book press
- Solid oak with loads of quarter sawn grain
- Original finish has been waxed and buffed, preserving mars & losses. All that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Wormholes & shrinkage separations from age - see photos
- Brass & iron hardware on press handle
- Press is removable from cabinet base
Size is 23.5" wide, 14.5" deep and 68" tall. Press opening is 9" high.
