A Victorian period swivel desk chair from about 1890 is tall and very comfortable, and was said to have been used by a Chicago judge.
The back and seat are newly caned, flexible and comfortable in hot and cold weather alike.
The gracefully curved maple and ash frame is tight and wiggle free on this American made antique office furniture. It has an excellent golden finish and minor shrinkage separations from age.
Signed "JFSJ & Co.," the cast iron swivel mechanism has adjustable height and tilt. Ball bearing wheels are replacements.
Measurements are 22" wide, 27" deep and 52" tall with seat height of 20" as shown, adjustable up and down.
