A genuine antique cabinetmaker's work bench is constructed of oak and pine, with adjustable vises at the ends. Hand-made about 1900, there are exposed handcut dovetails and a drawer with little compartments. There are iron pegs to adjust in holes to secure projects on top.
Very solid and substantial with mortise and tenon joints on the lower supports, the bench has lots of "character," mars, stains and wear to show it was really used for a century of woodworking.
On the back of the top is a tool tray with a rim around to keep parts from rolling away. Our customers have used these as wine and appetizer tasting tables and also for planting. Overall size is 6 1/2' long including the vise, 21" wide, and 3' tall.
