American Empire 1825 Era Lion Paw and Cornucopia Sofa

An American Empire period classic from about 1825, this elegant sofa has hand carved lion paw and cornucopia or horn of plenty feet.
Solid mahogany with matched flame grain, the frame is tight and strong and the deep finish is very fine. There have been various repairs over the years, and the frame is structurally sound and usable.
Newly upholstered in European brocade with matching bolsters, this graceful antique furniture measures 6' 11" long, 26" deep, 36" tall and the seat is 18" high.
