Asian Painted Lacquer Vintage Breakfront China Display Cabinet or Bookcase

A large beautifully hand painted black lacquer breakfront in the Japanese manner was actually American made in the 1980's, and sold for $18,000 at that time.

Delicate hand painted details include raised enamel on this maple hardwood vintage furniture which appears to be unsigned. Lower doors have raised panels, hardware is original. Glass panes are beveled, the interior is lighted and has a genuine gold leaf background. Adjustable plate glass shelves have grooves to display plates if desired. There is a pull out writing desk with gold tooled leather in the center.

Two separate pieces for easier moving, size is 7' 6" long, 18" deep and 6' 10" tall.
