Carlton House English 1920's Writing Desk, Tooled Leather

Called a "Carlton House" desk, this distinctive Georgian design writing desk was hand crafted in England in the 1920's of mahogany.

The finish is in excellent condition with some small warps and dings for antique character as shown. The writing surface is inlaid with tooled leather. Behind are locking compartments and tiny drawers with hand cut dovetail joints. Brasses are original on this elegant library furniture.

Measurements are 50" wide, 26" deep, 36" tall to the top of the gallery, and the desk top is 28 1/2" high.
