Carved Angels Antique Velvet 1920's Sofa and Chair Set

All original from about 1920, this sofa and chair set has a beautifully hand carved oak frame and three dimensional carved angels or cherubs. Original soft velvet upholstery is faded but has remarkably little wear as shown. The richly detailed solid oak has a very fine finish with expert detailing and barley twist columns.

Waxed and polished, it needs only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain its antique patina and luster. There is a minor repair to one of the cane panels in the chair - see photos.

Springs are firm and cushions are extremely comfortable on this marvelous European crafted sofa and chair from Scandinavia.

Dimensions of the chair are 28" wide, 32" deep, 39" tall and the seat is 20" high.

Dimensions of the sofa are 6' long, 35" deep, 39" tall and seats are 20" high.
