Classical Carved 1925 Italian Armoire or Wardrobe Closet
A magnificent Italian armoire or wardrobe was carved in the classical manner about 1925. This palatial piece was made for a palazzo in northern Italy. The finish is in excellent condition with minor warps and shrinkage separations from age for antique character, see photos.
This historic European furniture is walnut with matched burl panels. The carved details are artistic, deep molding and columns with carved capitals are beautiful. Center doors are mirrored, locks and keys work. Separate sections have removable closet poles and shelves, they could be reconfigured as desired. Curved front and sides are graceful, there is a scent of mothballs inside.
This armoire can be disassembled for moving, dimensions are 8' wide, 24" deep and 7' tall.
