This hand made mahogany dropfront secretary desk with carved paw feet has elegant proportions. The deep rich finish is excellent, and there are exposed hand-cut dovetails on the top and drawers of this classic American Empire design antique.
Exceptionally well made furniture from about 1870, the dropfront has pull-out supports, and inside are a locking cubicle, tiny drawers and compartments. Measurements of this meticulous and stately desk are 31" wide, 20" deep, 41" tall, and the writing surface is 30" above the floor.
