An English Georgian sterling silver spoon for basting, gravy, stuffing or dressing in the fiddle, thread and shell pattern was sold by Marshall Field & Co. of Chicago about 60 years ago and attributed to "Wm. Chawner, London, 1823."
Bearing an old family crest, this 12" long antique hand made spoon is very heavy weight and weighs approx. 6 troy ounces.
