A traditional Irish midwife's birthing stool or chair was hand hewn of solid ash hardwood about 60 years ago, with hand carved shamrock motifs.
The original finish is in very fine condition on this vintage furniture. As sturdy as it looks, there is no signature on this hand crafted folk art furniture.
Size is 19" wide, 16" deep, 28" tall and the seat is 13" high.
