A giant vividly colored advertising poster for the fabled "La Coupole" restaurant in Monparnasse, Paris, has a custom silvered gold leaf frame.
Opened in 1927, the Art Deco restaurant is one of the most famous in Paris, and is still flourishing. Customers included Derain, Man Ray, Brassai, Picasso, Simenon, Josephine Baker, Matisse, Sartre, Chagall and Joyce. Camus celebrated his Nobel Prize here, and Mitterand ordered his last meal from here.
The poster is under plexiglass and overall size is 51" wide, 67" tall and 1 1/2" deep.
