Mahogany English 1880 Antique Barometer

An authentic antique mercury barometer from about 1880 has a thermometer, level and humidity gauge. The original mahogany case has inlaid satinwood banding, the finish is very fine with small losses and mars for antique character.

A convex mirror is decorative on this weather instrument from England, other glass covers are convex as well. There are bubbles in the glass tube of mercury, so the mechanism appears complete, but is presumably not working accurately.

This beautiful artifact cannot be shipped because of the genuine mercury, so it must be picked up or other arrangements made. Size is 11" wide and 39" tall.
