Oak 1700's Trunk, Chest or Coffer

Hand made of oak in the 1700's, this genuine antique trunk or chest was also called a "coffer." Hand-planing and wooden pegs are visible everywhere, the rich deep finish is beautiful, with old stains and wear. Panels are hand-chamfered, and this is very solid furniture.
Inside are 2 small compartments. The iron lock works, it is about 150 years old but not original. Front panels have traditional "linen-fold" carving, and size is 3'2" long, 18" deep and 2' tall. Great size for a Coffee Table!
