A rugged country oak and iron press was used for apple cider, fruit juice or wine. Dating from the early 1900's, it is signed "Eagle Machine, Lancaster, Ohio," "John Pritzlaff Hdwe Co, Milwaukee," and "People's Br(ewing) Co, Oshkosh."
The slatted barrel held fruit, when the giant screw was turned, the juice collected in an oak pan with a port for pouring. A great accessory for a wine cellar or bar, size is 20" wide, 15" deep and 35" tall.
