Renaissance Carved Griffins 1900 Antique Italian Writing Desk Library Table
A spectacular writing desk or library table was hand carved with winged griffins about 1900 in Italy. Walnut with a deep lustrous finish in excellent condition, there is shrinkage separation from age in the top, see photos.
Deep three dimensional sculpting in the pedestals highlights mythical winged griffins with lion paw feet and ceremonial swags. This grand antique library furniture has carved moldings and a sturdy trestle base.
Measurements are 5' long, 33" deep, 31" tall and legroom is 26" underneath.
