Traditional Mahogany Vintage Secretary Desk, Carved Shells & Ball & Claw Feet

A classic secretary desk is solid mahogany with finely detailed shell motifs and ball and claw feet. The satiny finish is in excellent condition on this vintage furniture brought from northern Europe about 60 years ago.

Hand cut dovetail joints are visible on the drawers and also where the top joins the sides of this elegant desk. Heavy weight solid brass hardware has traditional Georgian design. Keys are handles only, locks do not work, but one is signed "G. Bayer Pat'd." When the drop front is opened, there are pull out supports.

Measurements are 31" wide, 19" deep, 41 1/2" tall including the brass gallery and the desktop is 29 1/2" high.
