A Victorian period chest or dresser from the 1850's was hand carved of mahogany with gorgeous matched flame grain panels.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture preserving some mars and patina especially at the bottom, see photos. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms.
Original carved pulls are attached with wooden screws, one has a small loss, see photos. There is a key that fits only two small jewelry or handkerchief drawers at the top.
For easier transport, the swivel mirror is detachable. The wavy glass has a little "smoke" to show its age and is original.
Measurements are 41 1/2" wide, 20" deep and 81 1/2" tall, the marble top is 38 1/2" high.
