This classic American rocking chair is often called a "Lincoln" rocker because our tall president didn't fit into regular seats, and sat in such a chair in the Presidential box at Ford's Theater when he was assassinated.
The maple hardwood frame has a very fine golden finish with warm patina. The undamaged natural caning is supple and very flexible - warm in winter and cool in summer.
American Victorian furniture from about 1870, this beautiful rocker has a comfortably curved back and a few "squeaks" for authenticity. Dimensions are 21" wide, 31" deep, 41" tall and the seat is 17" high.
