Austrian 7 Drawer Antique Tall Lingerie Chest Secret Jewelry Compartment #29885

A seven drawer tall dresser like this was called a lingerie chest with seven drawers, one for each day of the week. Under the lid is a "secret" compartment for jewelry. Hand crafted in Austria about 1890, drawers have matched walnut burl fronts banded in mahogany.

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique European furniture. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, chamfered bottoms and original nickel hardware.

Measurements are 43 1/2" wide tip to tip, 20" deep and 64" tall.
